Huge shout out to Lea!
Lea started with us in mid-June last year. At the time, she couldn’t do a full push-up and her main focus was to build strength and improve her bone density.
What’s important to note is that Lea was already very active. She cycles on average four times a week but after being diagnosed with osteoporosis, she realised that cardio alone wasn’t enough.
While cycling is great for fitness, it doesn’t provide the weight-bearing stimulus bones need to become stronger.
That’s where structured strength training, resistance work, balance and posture training came in.
Since starting, Lea has made some incredible progress:
Stronger core and upper body
Now performing full push-ups
Progressed from assisted pull-ups toward much stronger pulling strength
Improved balance and posture
Consistently building strength to support bone health and longevity
Lea loves being challenged in a safe, supportive way where exercises can be adjusted and progressed. She also loves the group camaraderie and training alongside others working toward similar goals.
Her ongoing goal is simple and powerful: to remain strong for as long as possible and focus on longevity.
